Dr. Abiodun Omowonuola Adebayo-Oyetoro

Abiodun Omowonuola Adebayo-Oyetoro, PhD, is a Nigerian academic and Chief Lecturer in the Department of Food Technology at Yaba College of Technology with over 28 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. Her research focuses on the processing and quality evaluation of fermented and functional foods, safety, and nutrition. Dr. Adebayo-Oyetoro earned her National Diploma from Ogun State Polytechnic and her PhD in Food Quality Control and Assurance from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum from Lagos State University. She has authored and co-authored 41 articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented 27 papers at national and international conferences, published 2 books, and contributed 1 book chapter. Furthermore, she is a member of the committee that developed the curriculum currently being used in Nigerian Polytechnics and has supervised over 500 diploma projects and numerous BSc students. An experienced institutional leader, she is the immediate past Head of the Department of Food Science and Technology and the current Chairman of the Inaugural Lecture Committee at Yabatech. She serves as an External Moderator and Examiner to various polytechnics and mentors young professionals in her field. Dr. Adebayo-Oyetoro is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (FNIFST), a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration (FICA), and a full member of Applied Microbiology International, United Kingdom. She is also a recipient of several national and international awards and research grants.
